All stargazers have viewed this scene: it's night, it's cold and humid. For observation, we need to instal our telescope, which is very often heavy. We also need a sky atlas and a laptop.

The sky atlas is very important : we can not afford to stargaze without it. But, it is very often heavy (around 5 kilograms). The laptop is useful because it is easy to manage, it is pleasant. The only issue is that we always need an electrical feed to ensure a sufficient autonomy.

Multimedia devices such as smartphones, PDA, ou game consoles, netbooks are quit interesting because they are small, light and have sufficient working time. Existing astronomical softwares need an important memory.

J-VIEW BOOK was designed to get rid of these constraintes. J-VIEW BOOK purpose is to use an electronical sky atlas (e-book), anywhere, on all existing or coming multimedia devices. After two years of developement, J-VIEW BOOK proposes a new generation of atlases, a complete line based on modernity and compatibilty with all multimedia devices:

- modernity: J-VIEW BOOK uses the newest data based whereas standard atlases are based on informations compiled 20 yeras ago.

- compatibility: J-VIEW BOOK is a package of PDF and JPEG files. This characteristic allows to view J-VIEW BOOK's charts on almost multimedia devices: smartphones, computers, lapotops, netook, PDA, game consoles (such as PSP), iPod touch, MP4 driver,...!

- easy use: J-VIEW BOOK uses a color coding to allow an easy identification of objects with respect to their magnitude and thypes. You quickly have an idea of objects visible with your telescope.

- customization: you no longer need to move with your heavy atlas when stargazing. You can just choose the intersting sky map, print it or view it in the multimedia device you already have.
Stargazers have different needs, that why J-VIEW BOOK proposes a complete line of atlases from beginners to confirmed astronomers (see table above).
